It's been awhile since I've "blogged", but I came across this article in a holistic magazine and I would like to share it with you. It contains some self help healing habits and even if you do just a few of them, you may see a difference in your life...Remember " The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."-Tao Te Ching
1. Live naturally and freely as you truely are, rather than being overly concerned about who you are supposed to be.
2. Work hard and do your work as necessary, but stop when your work is done, making plentiful time for rest. Find work that makes you happy. Work should be enjoyable and not stressful.
3. Be mindful of everything you do and say as we are all a part of the same fabric of existence, therefore everything you do ripples out just like waves of water to effect each and every one of us.
4. Practice breathing exercises on a daily basis to center and calm yourself. It also oxygenates your blood for proper toxin removal and strong immune function. Practice meditative breathing with positive affirmations and visualizations to nourish your mind and body leading to health and longevity.
5. Hydrate properly. Staying properly hydrated will help you deal with daily stress.
6. Get enough sleep. You need a least 7 hours for peace and calm.
7. Exercise 30 minutes daily. This will keep yout stress levels down.
8. Be involved in your family, friends and those in need.
9. Do good in this world. Remember , giving is better than receiving.
10. Appreciate yourself and what you have, rather than what you don't have.
It's all about peace within the storm. In today's world we spend much of our time in our heads, thinking and surviving. The goal is to live a heart-centered life where we are at peace, feeling the contentment of a productive life. As you can see, happiness is an "inside job." We cannot control our outside environment or people in our lives but we can change how we react to it.
I hope these "words of wisdom" make a lasting impression... Feel free to share this blog with family and friends!
Until the next time we speak, stay happy, healthy and well-adjusted !! Love and Serve, Dr. Barbara
